Laxman Kumar Sharma is an experienced science educator and school leader from Nepal with over three decades of service in education. His work focuses on improving learning quality, strengthening school leadership, and supporting education in rural communities.
ABOUT LAXMAN SHARMA
Laxman Kumar Sharma (46) is a passionate science teacher and educational leader from Nepal who has devoted his life to improving the quality of education, especially in the rural hill regions. For the past 24 years, he has been actively serving at Satyawati Secondary School, Siddhalek-7, Dhading, contributing as a teacher, leader, and mentor.
He completed his Master’s Degree in Education (EESD) from Kathmandu University with distinction and was awarded a President’s Medal for academic excellence. He later completed his MPhil from Kathmandu University, strengthening his expertise in educational development and leadership.
Mr. Sharma has gained valuable international exposure through educational programs and fellowships in the United States, South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, along with participation in seminars across Asia. His professional interest lies in promoting effective school leadership, teacher development, and educational innovation in Nepal.

सत्यवतीको प्रा वि तहमा दुई वर्ष पढेर २०३४ सालमा आदर्श मा वि, गजुरीमा भर्ना भइयो। अरु त ठिकै थियो, करिब ९ किमि पर दिनदिनै अर्काको गाडी चढेर स्कूल जान र घर फर्कन गारो थियो। डेरा लिएर बस्ने ढङ्ग र आँट पनि थिएन। दुई वर्षपछि पढ्नै भनेर काठमाडौं छिरियो। काठमाडौंमा शान्ति विद्यागृह, सिध्दार्थ वनस्थली, अमृत क्याम्पसबाट विज्ञानमा स्नातक गर्दा २०४६ साल सकिएको थियो।
नेपाली शिक्षक आन्दोलनमा शीतयुध्दकालिन धङ्धङी
दोस्रो विश्वयुध्द समाप्त (१९४५) हुँदा मानव इतिहास कै अभूतपूर्व पीडा त छँदैथियो तथापि विश्वभरी नै नयाँ उत्साह पनि भरिएको थियो। मानव सभ्यता विकासको लागि शान्ति, लोकतन्त्र, समाजवाद, समानता, सामाजिक न्याय, मुक्ती र प्रगति जस्ता नयाँ अवधारणाहरु बहसमा थिए। औपनिवेशिक राष्ट्रहरु धमाधम मुक्त हुँदैथिए।
